what is the equation of the line that is parallel to the line y =-1/3x 4 and passes through the point (6, 5)?

General equation of the line
y = mx + c

If it is a parallel line, m = -(1/3) and x=6 & y=5
5 = (-1/3) * 6 + c
5 = -2 + c
c = 7

Therefore the equation of the parallel line
y = (-1/3) x + 7
