4a+6b=10 ----(1)
2a-4b=12 ----(2)
(2)*2; 4a-8b=24----(3)
(1)-(3); 6b-(-8b) = 10-24
14b = -14
so b = -1
then 2a-4(-1)=12
2a+4=12
2a = 8
so a = 4
then 12a = 12*4 = 48 #
