Michael is measuring fabric for the costumes of a school play. He needs 11.5 meters of fabric. He has 28.5 centimeters of fabric. How many more centimeters of fabric does he need?

11.5 m * (100 cm)/(1 m) = 11,500 cm
He needs 11,500 cm.
He has 28.5 cm
He needs 11,500 cm - 28.5 cm = 11,471.5 cm
