The perimeter of a rectangle is 32 cm. The difference between the length and the width is 4cm. find the width

length = x
width = y

2x + 2y = 32
x - y = 4
x = 4 + y

2(4+y) + 2y = 32
8 + 2y + 2y = 32
4y = 24
y = 6 cm (width)

x = 4 + 6
x = 10 cm (length)
